The Mavericks quickly found their fan base with two hundred thousand fans coming to watch them play in their first season.

It was in 1996 that the Mavericks hosted their one-millionth fan, becoming a team that reached that milestone the fastest. Last year the Mavericks signed a deal with the Seattle Mariners making them an affiliate of the club for at least the next two years.

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are another minor league baseball team in San Bernardino County. The Quakes play in The Epicentre, which has been open since 1993. This club is currently owned by Valley Baseball Inc. and is currently affiliated with Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino is the last minor league baseball team in San Bernardino County. This club plays in Arrowhead Credit Union, which was originally just named The Ranch in 1996. It was in 1995 that the team became affiliated the Los Angeles Dodgers, a team they are still affiliated with today.

But, baseball isn't the only sport in San Bernardino County. There are also many wonderful resorts that can be used for those who love to ski. One of those is Lake Arrowhead. Here there are many mountains and trails that are perfect for both downhill and cross-country skiing.

Mountain High is a much sought after ski resort that offers rentals, repairs, and lessons. With many different trails to choose from, this is sure to be a second home for any avid skier. Lodging is available here and they also have a Kid's Club, a program designed especially for those under the age of twelve.

Whether you want to watch baseball while eating hot dogs in some of the nation's finest stadiums or you want to race down the slopes, San Bernardino County has some of the finest in sports recreation.
