The San Bernardino County Symphony is currently in its seventy-ninth season and continues to not only bring the finest symphonies and classical music to many different kinds of audiences but it also has a music education programs in the schools and within the surrounding community. The symphony's wonderful conductor, Maestro Carlo Ponti Jr., is known for his wonderful leadership and for being able to help bring about the highest quality of classical music. The California Theatre, which is where the symphony hosts its concerts, is conveniently located in downtown San Bernardino and its distinctive design helps provide some of the richest sounds that is sure to delight any music lover's ear. Another wonderful spot to head to if you are looking for more San Bernardino arts and culture is the San Bernardino County Museum. This museum is located in Redlands, California and is sure to be awe-inspiring with the many different exhibits and displays in cultural and natural history. When visiting the museum, one will be able to see the many different Special exhibits, the Exploration Station live animal discovery center, and many different research collections. It is here at the museum that there are also many different programs available for adults and children alike to help them further explore wonderful pieces of culture and natural history. With three floors of exhibits, this is a great way to spend the day! Another wonderful contribution to the San Bernardino County arts and culture is the Air Museum Planes of Fame. This wonderful museum was founded in 1957 and has two different locations. The first location is at Chino Airport in California and the second location is a satellite museum in Valle, Arizona. Both locations have over one hundred and fifty exhibits, displaying different aircraft throughout the history of manned flight. One of the displays is a replica of the Chanute Hang Glider, an aircraft used in 1896. There are also many displays of more modern air flight and also shows many different milestones achieved along with different research that is currently being done.
